Feature wise, the Nuvi 3790t highlights include voice activation — allowing you to keep both hands on the wheel. Simply wake up nüvi with a customisable voice command and begin speaking menu options that are clearly displayed on the screen. Tell nüvi "Find Address" and speak an address to start navigating.

If you do want to use your hands, the 4.3 inch touchscreen is capacitive, meaning you can use multi touch gestures, just like an iPhone, to pinch in and out. It will also automatically rotate from landscape in the car, to portrait in your hand.

Garmin’s mapping includes 3D terrain, landmarks and Real View Advanced Lane Guidance giving you mind blowing, almost lifelike, navigation experiences. For selected cities in Australia there is also city modelling, which will make you feel like you’re driving through a virtual reality scene of the city. You’ll get realistic road signs, junctions and landmarks.

Live traffic updates are included with the mapping software, shaving loads of time off your commutes. It also predicts routes based on your driving habits and past traffic flow with nüRoute technology, with trafficTrends and myTrends.
