Over the past couple of years, Digital media players have made their mark on the home entertainment landscape. Now Acer has released its version of what is fast-coming a staple of the home theatre arena.
Acer's Aspire RevoView is a HD media player that allows you to access media content from your desktop PC or storage device, and play on your big screen television via your home theatre system.
Acer has made sure its design is sleek enough to attach to the back of a monitor so it can be hidden from view and not interfere with the lines of your home theatre set up.
There is no shortage of connectivity, with a series of options that will allow integration of your PC, speakers and television. Acer says its TV-friendly main menu offers a quick way to access and enjoy your favourite media on HD TV, HD monitor and even connect to your HiFi home theatre system.
As with any media set up, there is a remote control for content browsing, too.
Media content can include television and movies, YouTube, photos as well as homemade videos. Finally, there is the Easy-Swap hard disk bay. This provides an easy way for users to plug in a 3.5-inch SATA hard disk.
Simply slide in the SATA hard disk and the Aspire RevoView can directly playback all the media files stored in the hard disk with the simple push of the button.
