Australian Review: Panasonic Lumix LX100 – Retro chic

Example Photos
The vast majority of the photos featured in this review were taking using the LX100's automatic settings, although I needed to use the camera's manual focus on a few (mostly on macros).

Final Thoughts
The Lumix LX100 is a compact camera that offers more than most. The design is stunning, it doesn't make too many compromises, its versatile, and takes great looking photos.

Retailing for around AUD$1,100, the LX100 isn't quite what I'd call an entry level camera but it certainly fits the gap between smartphone and DSLR nicely. I wouldn't necessarily recommend the LX100 to absolute beginners as the manual controls can be a bit overwhelming. The LX100 does however make an excellent point-and-shoot, albeit an expensive one.

As I said at the start of this review, Panasonic's Lumix LX100 is one of those products I just don't want to give back.
