Sony has added two new channels to the Sony Entertainment Network – the Quickflix movie streaming service and Vice TV.

Australians who purchase selected BraviaTVs until Christmas will receive a bonus 12-month subscription to the new Quickflix channel, for unlimited on-demand access to the streaming WatchNowmovie library.

Quickflixmovie streaming provides unlimited movies direct from Hollywood studios to Sony viewers, available for a monthly subscription fee. This starts from $14.99 a month, whilst existing Quickflix online DVD rental customers can upgrade from $7 to $14 per month for unlimited access to movies on demand.

Vice TVprovides viewers with full length features, documentaries and insights brought to you by the voice of the youth culture magazine Vice and covers music, fashion, news, sports and arts. Vice TV will focus on a number of gritty and cutting edge documentaries, including Toxic, a series that focuses on environmental issues across the globe, The VICE Guide To Film, where Shane Smith and Eddy Moretti explore, and Powder and Rails, a snowboard culture series, exploring the pros and industry personnel who shape the sport.

Quickflix and Vice TV are the latest additions to a range of internet channels available to Sony devices in Australian households. Viewers can tune into 27 Internet channels – including Billabong, ABC iView, SBS, Plus7 and the WiggleTime TV from the Wiggles. With the Sony Entertainment Network, viewers can also access Sony’s own services Music Unlimited and Video Unlimited.
