Optus today announced My Prepaid Daily and My Prepaid Daily Plus, two versatile new prepaid phone plans. If users do not make any phone calls, use data or send text messages on a given day while on the plan, they won't be charged for that day. Customers will not be billed if they receive a call or a message.

My Prepaid Daily starts from $1 a day; this includes 30 minutes of talk, unlimited messaging and 40 megabytes of data per day. Users will be bumped automatically to the next pricing tier, $1.50, if they exceed this. The $1.50 pricing tier includes unlimited phone calls, and an additional 40 megabytes of data. My Prepaid Daily maxes out at $5, with 430 megabytes of data for the day.

My Prepaid Daily Plus starts from $2 a day, and includes unlimited calls, unlimited messaging and 500 megabytes of data per day. If users exceed 500 megabytes, an extra 524 megabytes will be automatically be added for $2.

Users are able to recharge My Prepaid Daily and My Prepaid Plus plans from as a little as $10. Credit will expire after six months.

In addition, Optus has revamped their monthly prepaid plans. My Prepaid Monthly offers customers recharge options of $30, $45 or $60. A $30 recharge now includes 350 minutes of talk time, unlimited messaging and 1 gigabyte of data. A $45 recharge will give customers unlimited phone calls, unlimited messaging and 2 gigabytes of data. A $60 recharge increases a customer's data allowance to 5 gigabytes. All three recharge options expire after 30 days.

My Prepaid Daily, My Prepaid Daily and My Prepaid Monthly will be available from August 11.
