Releasing just two 2015 flagships clearly wasn't enough for Motorola, as the company has added a third to its family of top tier "Moto X" phones: the Moto X Force. The Moto X Force's claim to fame is what Motorola calls a shatterproof or "ShatterShield" display.

The screen consists of five layers, including a second touch-sensitive component, in case the first is damaged. Motorola is so confident in its display technology that every Moto X Force sold will come with a four-year "shatterproof warranty". If a user breaks the screen in the first four years of ownership, Motorola will replace it free of charge.

In terms of hardware the Moto X Force features a 5.4-inch Quad HD display, eight-core Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, up to 64GB of expandable storage, and a 3,760mAh battery said to provide up to two days of use. The Moto X Force utilises the same rear-facing 21MP camera sensor found in both the Moto X Play and Moto X Style.

The Moto X Force will be available in select Asia Pacific regions in November, but Motorola has yet to confirm if Australia is one of these.
