LG’s new smartwatch looks amazing
LG have provided an initial announcement of LG G Watch R prior to showcasing it at IFA next week. The G Watch R will feature a more upmarket design, ditching the plastic build and rubber strap adorning the G Watch.

LG have provided an initial announcement of LG G Watch R prior to showcasing it at IFA next week. The G Watch R will feature a more upmarket design, ditching the plastic build and rubber strap adorning the G Watch. The wearable will boast a stainless steel frame that encases the 320 x 320 pixel 1.3-inch OLED display, and come with a calf skin leather strap.
The G Watch R is powered by a 1.2 Ghz Snapdragon 500 processor, has 4 gigabytes of internal storage, 512 megabytes of RAM and a 410mAh battery. In addition to a gyroscope and accelerometer, the G Watch R will have be able to monitor the wearer's heart rate. As with its predecessor, the G Watch R runs Android Wear is rated IP67 for dust and water resistance.
LG will launch the G Watch R in the fourth quarter of 2014. Pricing is yet to be confirmed.
