Laser has launched the 2014 range of Navig8r Crash Cams that are designed for commercial and private vehicles, and come with 1080P Full High Definition resolution.

There are four devices available including the Crash Cam FHD (Full High Definition) that offers such clarity that it lets users read number plates, street signs and house numbers as well as recognising people’s faces. It features 1920 x 1080 (@30fps) video recording, and a built-in G-sensor uses sudden changes in velocity or orientation to trigger auto-saving of files. Motion recording begins as soon as the Crash Cam senses movement in front of the vehicle. The device includes HDMI output for HD TVs and a large colour LCD.

Then there is the Crash Cam FHD-WD (Wide) that offers the same Full High Definition output of the Crash Cam FHD with an extra wide-angle field of view. This means that more side detail is captured, such as more lanes on a freeway or more peripheral detail when an incident happens. The Crash Cam FHD-WD can store three times more footage than other cameras. Other features include auto-bump file-save, motion-detect recording, a wide 2.7-inch LCD screen and HDMI output for direct connection to a TV.

The new Crash Cam FHD with GPS tracking uses in-built tracking software so users can view recorded video footage, speed, location and journey on Google Maps. Like the other Crash Cams in the 2014 range, this device offers crystal-clear FHD video and advanced features such as auto-bump file-record, a large 2.7-inch display and HDMI output.

Number four is the Crash Cam FHD PRO that features speed and red light camera warnings, roadside speed limit sign detection, a comprehensive GPS tracking software and a nifty Stop & Go reminder which alerts you when the vehicle in front moves off. The date and time are GPS synchronised and it even has a driver fatigue alarm, which can be set to reminder the driver to take a break after a pre-set time of driving. Like the other Crash Cams in the 2014 range, this device offers crystal-clear FHD video, G sensor (in 3 axis), auto-bump file-record and HDMI output.

The full range of Navig8r Crash Cams is available from late October at all Harvey Norman stores. Other models are available from Officeworks, Good Guys, JB Hi-Fi Online, Target and Big W as well from Laser’s online store.
