Apple today announced a new, smaller iPad Pro.

The new iPad Pro features a more comfortable screen size at 9.7 inches. Powered by the A9X processor, it packs enough power for even the most demanding applications. A new Smart Keyboard will be available for the new iPad, and it supports the Apple Pencil as well.

The 9.7-inch iPad Pro features the same quad speakers as its larger brother, and also has a 12 megapixel camera like those found on the iPhone SE. It will be available in rose gold, along with the other standard colours.

Ambient light sensors around the screen adjust the display’s colour temperature to match that of its surroundings, making it more natural to look at in different lighting situations.

Pricing for the new iPad Pro starts at USD$599 for 32GB, 128GB for USD$749, or 256GB for USD$899 - it’s the first iOS device available with 256GB of storage. Orders are available from the 24th of March and the device will ship from the 31st of March
