Huawei today announced the latest member of its MediaPad family of Android tablets – the MediaPad 7 Vogue.

Huawei today announced the latest member of its MediaPad family of Android tablets – the MediaPad 7 Vogue.

The Huawei Media Pad 7 vogue sports a 7-inch screen with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU and a 16-core GPU that supports fluid 3D gaming and 1080p full HD video playback. There’s also a 3G module that supports DC-HSPA+ and wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n. At the back of the camera is a 3MP snapper with geo-tagging.

The device will be powered by a 4100mAh Li-Polymer battery and will run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with pre-installed applications for email, word processing, Facebook, YouTube, GPS navigation and of course, the Huawei’s proprietary Emotion UI 1.5.

Consumers can also use the MediaPad 7 Vogue as a device for making calls. The tablet sports a built-in receiver for direct calling capabilities that can be used even without headphones. Moreover, the tablet also comes with a micro USB port that is compatible with a full range of accessories including an external keyboard, mouse and USB flash drive.

The MediaPad 7 Vogue will come in either black or white and will be first shipped to China with other markets to follow.
