Apple lets people give back their free U2 albums

Alongside the iPhone 6, Apple Pay and Apple Watch announcement last week, Apple told the world that it was gift every single iTunes customer a free copy of U2's new album, Songs of Innocence. Despite Apple's apparent good intentions, many were frustrated by the sudden appearance of an album they didn't want but couldn’t delete.

Today Apple have provided disgruntled customers with a way to return their gift, and remove Songs of Innocence from their library for good. By clicking the link on this page, Songs of Innocence will be removed from both a user's iTunes library and purchase history.

However, if a user changes their mind and decides they want the album back, they will be able to download it again for free until October 13, 2014.
