Acer today announced the newest addition to its Iconia line of Android tablets – the Iconia A3. The tablet, which will be officially unveiled at IFA 2013, will sport at 10.1-inch screen with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels and of the IPS type.

It packs a 1.2GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor and runs on Android 4.2. There’s also a 5MP camera at the back of the device that can capture video in Full HD as well as 360-degree photos and wide-angle shots.

Moreover, the tablet also features Dolby Digital Plus, which creates a virtualised 5.1 channel surround experience on headphones, which in turn reduces background noise and dialogue volume boost resulting in clear dialogues and consistent volume levels, without disruptions across content and apps. The Iconia A3 also features a number of ports and connectivity options including a micro HDMI port, Wi-Fi connectivity, 3G mobile data connection and Bluetooth v4.0.

The Iconia A3 (Wi-Fi version) will be available in Europe, Middle East and Africa by early October for AU$360 while the 3G version will retail for over AU$400.
