Neither the free-to-air or pay television channels were interested in showing the Melbourne Cup in 3D, according to the ACMA.

After trialling 3D broadcasts during this year’s State of Origin rugby league series, the ACMA stopped all trials in July this year, with a view to look into the matter again later in 2010. A paper on the subject set to be published in the near future.
